The ApnaKhata - Land Record Computerization (LRC) is a G2C and G2G initiative of Revenue Department of Government of Rajasthan started in 1995-96. The main objective is to facilitate easy maintenance and updation of Land Records and change due to irrigation, natural calamities, on account of legal changes, transfer of ownership, land acquisition lease etc. The project is successfully operational in 247 Tehsils covering 42,665 villages. The manual process of preparing the New Chausala is completely discontinued. The computer generated Chausala are being used by the Patwari in the field. The copies of RoR are being issued from Tehsil Computer Centre (ApnaKhata Centre) regularly.
Rajasthan leads in Land records computerization for hosting the entire state land records data on the web. One can view the details of land records online and the certified copies of Record of Rights (RoR) can be obtained from the authorized centres. A common man can retrieve his/ her land details by just providing the Tehsil / village name, and Khata number. The best part is entire data is available in Hindi. ApnaKhata Kendras have been set up at Tehsil level for convenience. Additionally cyber kiosks have been set up at field level at suitable places which have been empowered to provide access to data and issue copies of ROR on specific charges as permitted by Board of Revenue.
The prime beneficiaries under this project are all land holders whose revenue records can be viewed on click from tehsils/cyber kiosks/Internet. These copies are valid and legal for all purposes. Jamabandais are now available in the public domain through the internet. This project is developed and maintained by National Informatics Centre (NIC). This initiative has received many awards like SKOCH Digital Inclusion Award 2011etc. Rajasthan has taken significant steps in building this asset, with this initiative. With ApnaKhata, land records data has been completely web-enabled.
